For more than 20 years, we have operated West Coast Air Creations, specializing in aircraft restoration, maintenance, and service. What began as a love for flying became a lifelong commitment to preserving the aircraft and engines that define American aviation history.

As certified A&P mechanics and Inspection Authorization (IA) holders — and as active pilots — we approach our work from both sides of the firewall. We don’t just service these aircraft. We fly them. From DC-3s and T-6s to Cubs and turbine aircraft, we have dedicated decades to keeping aviation alive in every form.

As the radial engine industry began to narrow, we recognized something larger than opportunity — we saw responsibility.

When Dennis of Sun Air presented the opportunity to carry forward a legacy overhaul operation, we understood what was at stake. The future of radial engines depends on knowledge being preserved and passed forward.

Jim Lewis, who devoted his entire career in Radial Engine Industry to building, restoring, and overhauling radial engines, made the extraordinary decision to relocate to Flabob Airport. His purpose was clear: to train the next generation and ensure that the craftsmanship, precision, and standards of true radial overhaul are never lost.

Today, we stand at the intersection of heritage and future.

Our mission is simple — preserve, protect, and advance the radial engine industry so that these engines continue to fly for the next hundred years.
